Real, WHOLE food, unprocessed and unrefined. Local, seasonal and organic fruits and veggies; pasture-raised animal products, wild-caught fish and free-range eggs.

Eat a variety of colors from fruits and veggies. More colors means a broader spectrum of essential nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Plants should fill up at least 75% of your bowl or plate. Animal products should be eaten sparingly and should be ethically raised and treated if/when consumed.

Eat slowly and enjoy your food with all the senses. It leads to a decrease in stress, healthier digestion and a more pleasurable experience.

 



EAT THIS: Real food, lots of plants, superfoods (maca, turmeric, bee pollen, goji berries, cacao nibs, etc), spices (turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, garlic), seaweed and healthy fats (sprouted nuts, coconut oil, avocado, chia, hemp and other omega-3 rich foods).

LIMIT THIS: Animal proteins, dairy, gluten, natural sugars (fruit, maple syrup, dates, honey...)

AVOID THIS: Processed foods, refined sugars, vegetable oils and trans/hydrogenated oils,

NOURISH Hydrate and nourish every cell of your body with real, whole, nutrient-dense foods from the earth. Eat slowly and chew thoroughly, so your body is able to utilize all the nutrients you eat.

BEAUTY REST Getting adequate sleep is crucial for getting a body that thrives and skin that glows. Sleep time allows your body to repair and renew. Get at least 7-9 hours of sleep.

MANAGE YOUR STRESS  Stress causes your body to produce too much cortisol, the stress-related hormone. Cortisol breaks down collagen in your skin, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles. It also contributes to abdominal weight gain, poor digestion, digestion, changes in your sleep patterns, lowered immunity, chronic fatigue, the list goes on. Deep breathing, meditation, self-care, more SLEEP and real food all help to mitigate the effects of stress.

BODY MOVEMENT  Body movement is a powerful mood lifter. Move your body for at least 30-45 minutes a day. It reduces stress and anxiety, improves the tone of your skin and keeps you fit, strong, young and vibrant.

SELF-CARE Meditate, spend time in nature, travel, EXPLORE, pamper yourself and unplug. Taking care of yourself is the #1 thing you can do for yourself and for loved ones. Schedule time to rest and relax and make it a non-negotiable.

LOTS OF LOVE — Self-love, spreading love to others and practicing gratitude with an open heart are all crucial for a healthy well-being. Patience, empathy and understanding is what connects us to one another.

COMMUNITY — Surround yourself with positive, like-minded people who support and uplift you. Countless studies have found that healthy relationships are the best guarantee of heightened well-being and lowered levels of stress.
